April 2018 Degustabox Subscription Box Review

Hey guy! Hope everyone is having a lovely spring so far! I know I’ve sure been enjoying the sun that’s been making its unpredictable appearance here in Oregon! I know I’m super late with sharing this month’s box with everyone, but his month’s box was so fun so I of course wanted to share it with all of you! The snacks that came in this Degustabox are perfect for road trips, a picnic, a trip to the park, and just about any sunny day activity!

First off, What’s a DegustaBox?

The Degustabox is a monthly subscription box that brings your favorite surprise snacks straight to your doorstep every month. The subscription costs $19.99 per month bringing you a big box of 10-15 goodies and products inside. When my Degustabox showed up to my house, I was surprised with how big and heavy the box was. When I opened it up, I found everything perfectly wrapped in brown paper. Degustabox does such a good job with wrapping the breakable glass items in bubble wrap to make sure no accidents happen upon delivery.

Taking a look inside the April box, I found so many delicious full-sized snacks and some products that I’ve never heard of! The box came with a few pieces of paper that tell a little bit about the products included in the box, and  sometimes includes a couple of recipes that include some of the products! There’s even sometimes coupons off some amazing products!

Here’s what came in my April 2018 Degustabox:

ALO Spring Aloe Juice ($1.99)- Now I’m not a picky person, but I refused to try this drink because I don’t like the sound of drinking aloe vera juice. It may be super healthy but I just can’t bring myself to try it, especially with there being chunks of aloe in it. The beauty of the Degustabox is that I can pass along this product to one of my friends or family members for them to enjoy!

La Tortilla Factory ($3.19)- I haven’t used these yet, but plan to this weekend. They look super yummy and like they came from an authentic Mexican restaurant. I can’t wait to try these because it says that they have a blend of corn and wheat flour which sounds super good! They’re also packed with 14 grams of whole grain while not containing any bad fats which is nice!

Country Archer Jerky Co. ($2.99 for 1.5 oz bag)- This was the first thing that I snacked on in this Degustabox and wow is this some good jerky! Being “Mango Habanero” flavored, I was surprised that this jerky wasn’t too spicy which I liked. I’m not very good with spice, but this flavor of beef jerky was so delicious!

popchips nutter puffs ($1.49)- These were the second product that I tried in this month’s Degustabox, and I am honestly not that big of a fan, BUT they do satisfy your craving if you ever have a peanut butter craving! They are really light and crunchy puffs simply covered in a light layer of real peanut butter.

Angie’s BOOMCHICKAPOP ($3.49 for Grocery Sized Bag)- This month’s box came with two flavors of popcorn. The cheddar cheese popcorn tastes so yummy while the real butter popcorn is simply delicious. Both don’t have any “junk” in them, only real ingredients. If I come across these in the store any time soon, I will probably pick up the cheddar cheese one because it is so yummy!

La Tortilla Factory Slow Cooker Sauce Starter($3.99)- Now this stuff looks absolutely delicious and so easy to make! All you need is a slow cooker, chicken, and this packet of Barbacoa slow cooker sauce to make delicious street-style tacos! I will definitely make this us this weekend because it looks so yummy and super simple for dinner!

Torie & Howard ($1.99)- These little chewy candies remind me of “Starburts” but are much healthier. They are USDA Organic & Kosher certified, Non-GMO, gluten, allergen, and contain no artificial flavors or colors. I may or may not have eaten them all by myself already!

Amazin’ Raisin ($5.99 for a 5 pack)- I grew up absolutely hating raisins, so these were a no for me. They look super interesting though! I was sent the lemon and strawberry ones. The seem like a good alternative to fruit snacks so I will pass these along to my family. But I have to say, have you ever heard of flavored raisins? I sure haven’t! I love the Degustabox because it sure introduces you to different kinds of snacks!

Fini Sweets ($1.09 each)- I’ve honestly never heard of this brand but was pleasantly surprised to find them in this month’s Degustabox because who doesn’t love some sweets?! My favorite out of the trio probably has to be the “Fizzy Tornadoes” which taste like berry with a super slight fizzy sensation in your mouth. My second favorite out of the three is the Mini Kollisions because they have very interesting taste combinations. These candies are perfect for on the go snacking.

Zeigler’s ($3.99)- I’m not that big of a carrot juice drinker, but this stuff s absolutely delicious. Packed with vitamins and your daily dose of fruits and veggies, this juice is the perfect juice for everyone. The taste is super refreshing! Love this stuff!

Final Thoughts

I was very pleased with this month’s box because it was filled with all kinds of snacks that are perfect to take with you on-the-go and while traveling! I loved the colorful packaging, tastey treats, and a couple food items for easy dinners! Can’t wait to see what comes in next month’s box! Thanks Degusta!
