My Newest Painting
Here is one of my newest custom paintings I did for a friend. I haven’t painted in a very long time so I was a little unsure how it would turn out. Before painting, I thought what kind of technique I should use. I then remembered a fun technique my high school art teacher taught me. You lay down one color and then add other colors over it creating more dimension and depth. I first went with a bright orange which looked like a dark burnt orange on the canvas due to the color contrast of the blue background. I then laid down various colors ranging from brown to a…

First Try: Eylure Enchanted Lashes
Hello and welcome to Shop with Kendallyn! Today I decided to try out Eylure Enchanted False Lashes in the style ‘Grace’. I’ve seen so many Youtube makeup tutorials and it seems like false eyelashes are more popular than ever. I’m not one who usually wears false lashes on a regular basis. When I was about 14 I tried on some lashes for the first time not having a clue how to put them on and they ended up looking horrific. I guess I was just too young to figure it out. Over the past few years I’ve gotten better at applying eyelashes and worn them maybe a handful of times just for…

Is it Worth all the Hype? First Impression: Gerard Cosmetics Star Powder
I had never tried Gerard Cosmetics before so I thought I would give the brand a shot. One thing that I really wanted to try was the new ‘Star Powder’ highlighting compact. Once I got it, I absolutely loved the look of the compact. So sleek and beautiful! Opening it, I fell in love with what was on the inside. I absolutely love how there is a clear plastic cover you can open and close to keep the compact clean and also protect it from the powder cracking. Of course I fell in love with the color of the highlighter as well! I got the shade “Audrey” that looks like…

One of my Favorites: Simply Spoiled Contouring Kit
Hello and welcome to Shop with Kendallyn! Today I decided to contour my face with this amazing ‘Simply Spoiled Contouring Kit’. ‘Contouring’ your face means you are creating an optical illusion that helps minimize, emphasize and shape your facial features using shadows and highlights. I am amazed with how smooth and pigmented all of the powders in this pallet are. My favorite shades out of all of these powders are the bottom left and the bottom right. Those two shades are the perfect shades to highlight and contour my face. I first used this light ivory/yellow-ish toned powder and swept it all over my face and really focused on the…

Welcome to Shop With Kendallyn
Hello and welcome to Shop With Kendallyn! My name is Kendallyn, a 19-year-old born and raised in a beautiful small town close to Portland, Oregon. Ever since I was a young girl I was obsessed with makeup, fashion and being as creative as I can be. I’m pretty sure I got the makeup and beauty obsession from my lovely mother, Juliann, who is a very successful blogger for the “All Beautiful Mommies” blog. Creativity is not as much of an obsession, but something that comes naturally to me. Quite often I find myself in my room either crocheting, sewing, or painting deep into the night not realizing its 4 AM. I…
