One thing that I am a sucker for in life is anything that’s customizable. Anything from keepsake journals, to silly mugs made just for that one person who you’d know would appreciate the personal touch to it. One day a few years ago, I came across Artifact Uprising and it totally changed the personalization game because of the beautiful things you can customize and the superior quality that you get from their products. Now I’ve done a couple of posts in the past on previous projects I’ve customized on their site, but just recently I saw that they have a gorgeous calendar and I just had to have it! This…

An Effortless Way to Preserve Memories with Fracture Glass Printing
Hey guys! So around this same time last year, I discovered Fracture, an amazing company that gave me the opportunity to try out their unique printing service, which was such an amazing experience! Well this year I got to try them out again and wanted to share the amazing products that they produced for me this year! Let’s get started! What’s a Fracture? A Fracture is the future of photographic display. Fractures are different from traditional paper pictures and frames because instead of printing on paper, they print directly onto glass. Instead of separating the picture, frame, and mount, a Fracture combines all three into a beautiful, lasting, final product.…

Etsy Favorites: Where I Get My Home Decor (GIVEAWAY)
Since I’m a lover of all things simple and beautiful, I came across ShopWellsXo on Etsy when I was searching for art for my home. Since getting married in February and moving into a new home with my husband, I haven’t done much with the walls yet. It seems like I haven’t touched them for so long because I am always SO indecisive as to the exact decor I’ve been wanting to display, scared that I will quickly get sick of the decor I put up. Am I the only one who thinks like that? Well after browsing through Etsy, I came across the prettiest wall art that I definitely don’t…

My Newest Painting
Here is one of my newest custom paintings I did for a friend. I haven’t painted in a very long time so I was a little unsure how it would turn out. Before painting, I thought what kind of technique I should use. I then remembered a fun technique my high school art teacher taught me. You lay down one color and then add other colors over it creating more dimension and depth. I first went with a bright orange which looked like a dark burnt orange on the canvas due to the color contrast of the blue background. I then laid down various colors ranging from brown to a…

Enjoy the Little Things
Remember: “Enjoy the Little Things” This Burlap canvas I painted on is one of my favorites and is hanging in my bedroom. My sweet grandmother lost her husband, my grandfather, in January of 2014 due to very aggressive mouth cancer. That May, despite all the grieving, she took her first trip without her sweet husband to Wyoming to spend some time with her sisters. Along the way, she stopped at a Hobby Lobby craft store and picked out this beautiful burlap canvas just for me because she knew how much I painted. She told me to paint something I loved on it. Since I’ve never painted on burlap, I covered…
