If you’re like me, you believe that a kitchen should feel as inviting as it is functional. For me, that means surrounding myself with beautiful details that create coziness, charm, and make me smile every time I walk in my kitchen. One of my favorite ways to do that is using my favorite cookbooks that perfectly double as decor.
Cookbooks can be just as beautiful as they are practical. They really do deserve to be seen, especially if the covers add more color and beauty to my kitchen! Recently I was gifted some gorgeous, inspirational cookbooks that are way too pretty to sit on the inside of my cupboards.
The following books were gifted to me by Gibbs Smith, their publisher. Gibbs Smith has thousands of high-quality books in every category.
I was so excited to flip through each and every page of these books to share with you guys and of course, start cooking from them!
Let’s get started!

The Heirloomed Kitchen

The Heirloomed Kitchen by Ashley Schoenith cookbook is my personal favorite out of the four. Filled with classic, nostalgic recipes from “Feel Better Chicken Noodle Soup” to “Wild Strawberry Shortcake”, there are all those comforting recipes we grew up eating that our grandparents made from scratch. This book hits home because every recipe feels like it was created with love, and they’re the kind of recipes worth preserving for future generations.
This one also happens to look beautiful on display. I love the neutral-colored spine because it goes with literally every kitchen color scheme. The cover is stunning yet simplistic, which makes it perfectly timeless.
Available on Amazon, $27.
The Art of the Board

Charcuterie boards have gotten SO popular over the years, and while I’ve put together quite a few myself, I’ll be the first to admit I’m definitely not the best at curating and styling them. I usually just dump things in piles and it just looks a little messy. Delicious, but not “put together”.
But just flipping through the first few pages of The Art of the Board by Olivia Carney had me instantly inspired. The themed boards are SO creative, and I love how the author includes detailed lists of what to buy, making it super easy to recreate them at home. I also love how there is a charcuterie board for literally every holiday/occasion in this book! I know this will be my go-to for my next gathering!
Available on Amazon, $14.
The Forager’s Pantry

The Forager’s Pantry by Ellen Zachos is sooo dreamy! It inspires me to have the confidence to go out and forage for all kinds of things around here in the PNW. I love that it includes all kind of information on different plants, berries and herbs that you can find in the wild and also a ton of amazing recipes that include those foraged ingredients.
One of my personal favorite things to forage in the late summer are big juicy blackberries on our 100 acre property, and I will definitely be making the blackberry recipes that are included in this book.
If you are or know someone who loves the great outdoors, this would make the most amazing gift for that type of person!
Available on Amazon, $18.
French from the Market

French From The Market by Hillary Davis is also one of my top favorite cookbooks from this collection because of the beauty that’s laced through each page. I love French-inspired meals and decor, so this naturally is a favorite of mine.
The imagery of each page makes me want to visit France so badly! Thankfully I can cook some of these recipes to at least feel like I’m a little closer to France, haha!
Available on Amazon, $23.
Only the Best Quality
Each of these books not only are full of incredible recipes but also have that gorgeous, aesthetic design that makes them feel like coffee table books. If you’re looking to add both style and inspiration to your kitchen, I can’t recommend these cookbooks from Gibbs Smith enough. Whether you stack them, prop them, or leave them open as functional art, they’ll effortlessly bring some style and coziness into your home.
There are so many more types of books to find at Gibbs Smith, I highly recommend checking out all of their categories!
