Being a now second-time mama, I can definitely think back about things I wish I had or had done differently in the early days with my first child. Honestly, you don’t really need a ton of things for newborns, but one thing that I can say is an absolute must-have for new baby is a great co-sleeping bassinet.
With my first, I cluelessly bought a bassinet off of Amazon without doing too much research, and let’s just say that it didn’t make the first few months of sleeping very easy. The bassinet was bulky and way too high for my bed, not adjustable in any way, and it pretty much blocked my view of my newborn so I was constantly sitting up in paranioa to look over the side, constantly worrying about my baby.
Co-Sleeping Made Easy
Thankfully I discovered Arm’s Reach and I am SO excited to be able to place my new baby (who hasn’t arrived just yet) in one of their amazing bassinets. There are so many wonderful things about each of their bassinets, so I decided to go with the Cambria Co-Sleeper® bedside bassinet.

Co-Sleeping mode + Great visibility of baby. My favorite feature about this bassinet is that it makes it possible to have baby within arms reach, but safely in their own space. Being able to look over and see your sleeping newborn with just a glance makes everything all the more comforting. Plus, it gives super easy access to baby with night feeds with the adjustable side. This bassinet also has free standing mode which is nice if you can’t have the bassinet right next to your bed. I just love the versatility!
Huge storage basket plus side pockets. My second favorite thing about this beautiful bassinet is that it has so much storage underneath with spacious pockets lining the sides. My last bassinet didn’t have any of that and I found myself using my night stand for random things which made my bedroom look a lot more cluttered. Thankfully you can get cute baskets (like this pretty wicker basket set) and organize things like swaddles, pacifiers, burp rags and even some snacks for you to have all within arms reach with all of the storage space this bassinet has.
Good Air Flow. This bassinet is lined with light mesh which is great for air flow.
Sturdy wood frame. The detailing on this bassinet is so modern and beautiful! It’s definitely very sturdy and does’t feel flimsy in the least.
Adjustable built-in leg extensions. It’s so simple to adjust the legs making it fit the height of your mattress perfectly.
Comes with a fitted sheet and mattress. It comes with everything you need to get started with a high-quality fitted sheet and firm mattress to keep baby safe.
Overall Thoughts
I am overall SO impressed with this bassinet and can’t wait to use it when my little one arrives. It was very easy to assemble, and fits perfectly next to my bed. I genuinely feel way more at ease with the whole newborn stage having this bassinet on hand. The functionality and beauty both impress me with how thoughtfully designed it is. I love that it can roll so that i can roll it across my room if I needed the walk way space next to my bed. It’s such a sturdy, well-made piece.
