We sure love a good backpack in this house. They are used quite regularly on day trips, vacations, and basically wherever we go exploring living in the great Pacific Northwest. But one thing I’ve noticed, is that usually backpacks are either cute or functional. Rarely both in my opinion. Maybe I’m just super picky. But thankfully, we found a cute and functional one that my three-year-old daughter can proudly tote around with ease. That is the absolute darling Mini Meta Backpack from Petunia Pickle Bottom.
Designed for toddlers in mind, this bag is the perfect size. It’s very lightweight, yet sturdy and has a lot of space for being a mini bag. I would never make my daughter carry her own backpack if she didn’t want to, but thankfully she genuinely loves wearing her very own backpack around which is awesome! The less I have to carry the better! It seems to give her a a little sense of independence which she has began to express in recent months. You know what I mean if you’ve had/have a threenager, I mean, three year-old toddler..
My Favorite Features
Adjustable Straps. This bag is designed for toddlers, but could also be adjusted to fit a grown adult! It could make the cutest on-the-go purse because of how neutral it is- you wouldn’t even know it’s your kids.
Water-Resistant and Wipeable. Toddlers are cute, but messy little creatures! I love that the inside and outside are made with fabric that is durable and wipeable for all those inevitable messes that are bound to be made.
Spacious Interior. This bag may look little, but boy, you can fit a lot in there! I was able to fit a lunch and extra change of clothes in there with still a little bit of room to spare.

Final Thoughts
I absolutely love this bag! It’s sturdy and made with very high-quality faux leather material. It’s ideal for traveling, quick outings, and lots of exploring. Again, I like that although it’s made for toddlers, it actually looks great worn as a backpack purse by parents because of it’s sleek and modern design.
