Hey beauties! As a new mama trying to balance family, life and a career, I wanted to share something about self-care today. While being a working mom is the most beautiful thing in the world, it is also something that takes a lot of energy and time—therefore, I’ve learned and am convinced it’s only fair to treat yourself for all the hard work for time to time!
With that being said, I wanted to share a few luxe ideas for how you can spoil yourself:
Buy yourself that luxury item you desire
Have you always thought about a specific luxury item but told yourself ‘not now, not now.’ If you have the budget for it and you have wanted it for some time now, make the investment! You work hard!
If you’ve had your eye on luxury watches for a while, you can take a look at websites like Pisa Orologeria and find the perfect one to treat yourself. Or if you’ve wanted a specific handbag or other piece for your wardrobe you’ve had saved on your ‘wish list’, TREAT YO SELF!
Book a Spa day and get the whole package
There’s nothing like a Spa day. I love going somewhere where I can unplug and just focus on relaxation. Sometimes I’ll go just for a single service or access to the sauna, but a way to really spoil yourself is to go for the whole package. Get that massage, mani/pedi, skin and body treatment.
Go solo or call up a girlfriend to go with you for the ultimate experience. You’ll walk out of that spa feeling rejuvenated!
Book a short getaway with your partner or best friend
Sometimes getting away from the usual routine of daily life is just what you need. Book a short getaway with your partner or best friend to a place you’ve always wanted to go to, or even a staycation, and make it a point to switch into vacation mode!
Bonus: unplug as much as you can while you’re away. Work will still be there when you get back.
Take a day off work and pamper yourself all day
Taking the day off work to pamper yourself is a way of saying ‘I’m putting me first right now.’ You can think of it as a ‘mental health day’, focusing solely on reducing stress and caring for yourself. Go for a walk, do some stretching, meditate, take an Epsom salt bath, do a face mask and hair mask, and do any and all self-care habits that make you feel your best.
You’ll definitely find yourself more confident and ready to take on work and life the next day!
There are so many ways you can spoil yourself, whether it is with an item, experience, time, etc. How have you treated yourself to something nice?
