Starting around this time of year, we all know that there are going to be a lot of extra fun family gatherings, especially around the holidays. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE having family over no matter what, but I’m not the only one whose first thoughts when family comes over other than, “Is the house clean?” is “Does the house smell good?”. I can’t be the only one who is at least a little self-conscious about how my home smells!
Yeah, I know it’s convenient to light up some candles, or use a wall plug-in to quickly make the house smell good when company comes over, but recently I had a bad experience with one of my candles. They are simply too easy to forget about, and that’s just what happened to me.
One morning I lit one of my favorite candles that came in a tin, set it on the counter, made sure it was far from anything flammable, then went off to do some chores and check my emails. I then left the house in a hurry for the rest of the day, forgetting about the candle I lit until I came home. I came home to the tin candle completely empty (from burning up all the wax for all of those hours), black with soot, and a counter top that had a huge burn mark from where my candle sat. I am so thankful nothing worse happened, but glad that I learned my lesson about the dangers of leaving candles burning, because that led me to something so much safer than candles. I still sure do love candles though!
After that little mishap with my candle though, I recently discovered the Aera which has been such an amazing alternative to candles or chemically ridden wall plug-ins! In fact, its okay to “forget” about!

I’ve had my Aera for about two weeks and am absolutely in love with how fresh my house smells in every single room! I’ve been using the “Vibrance” fragrance in my Aera, and it leaves every room in the house smelling so fresh with its pink grapefruit, amber, and green floral notes.
Since having the Aera in my home, I feel a lot more confident with how my home smells and am excited to have all kinds of family get together’s as the holiday roll around! Thanks Aera!

I discovered Area when traveling to a boutique hotel in Portland, Hotel Lucia. Moondance is THE most incredible scent. I hope to win so that the guests in my home feel like I did when I walked into that hotel. Both arms are raised in the air (waiving around like I just don’t care), pick me!
