So Simple, yet So Stunning:
Hello my lovely readers! Today I wanted to share with you a simple makeup look using the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette ($29). I love this tiny, travel size pallet so much because it’s so versatile and has every shade you need to achieve a beautiful dark and smokey stare, to ‘barely-there’ makeup- The possibilities are endless! So today I wanted to share with you one of my creations using this pallet that anyone can try. Enjoy!
Here are the step by step instructions to achieve this look:
1. Map Out the Crease.
Using the shade ‘Faint’ and a fine tip brush, carefully map out just above the natural crease line. Doing so prevents the eye shadow to smear.
2. Blend, Blend, Blend!
With a small fluffy brush, use the shades ‘Naked 2’ and ‘Faint’ to blend up towards the brow bone doing tiny circular and ‘windshield wiper’ movements, but still trying to keep the crease line as sharp as possible. If you do mess up the crease line, simply use the shade ‘Foxy’ to clean up the edges.
3. Brighten the Lid!
Grab a flat brush and lightly pack the shade ‘Venus’ onto the lid for a shimmery glow! It also helps clean up and sharpen the crease line.
4. Create an intense cat eye.
You can use any eyeliner you want, but I usually use eye shadow as eyeliner, and it works great! Simply get a tiny eyeliner brush wet and use the shade ‘Crave’ to create a nice intense cat eye! Getting the brush wet makes the color look even more intense and sharp.
Also, totally optional, but applying lashes tops off this soft crease cut cat eyed look!
Here is the finished look!

I’d like to find makeup for us older gals that doesn’t just magnify our wrinkles.
