Is it Worth all the Hype? First Impression: Gerard Cosmetics Star Powder

I had never tried Gerard Cosmetics before so I thought I would give the brand a shot. One thing that I really wanted to try was the new ‘Star Powder’ highlighting compact.

Once I got it, I absolutely loved the look of the compact. So sleek and beautiful!

Opening it, I fell in love with what was on the inside. I absolutely love how there is a clear plastic cover you can open and close to keep the compact clean and also protect it from the powder cracking.

Of course I fell in love with the color of the highlighter as well! I got the shade “Audrey” that looks like a warm champagne gold. There are two other highlighter compacts (that have adorable names) in the collection that are called “Marilyn”, a more golden highlighter, and “Lucy” which has a more rosy color. Above all, I love how pigmented, blendable, and reflective the powder is. This powder is totally buildable for an intense highlighted glow or for a light natural looking sheen of shimmer.

Here is a picture of me wearing “Audrey”. I applied it with a fluffy brush to the tops of my cheek bones for a nice shimmering highlight.

And YES, it is worth all the hype.
