Today I decided to contour my face with this amazing ‘Simply Spoiled Contouring Kit’. ‘Contouring’ your face means you are creating an optical illusion that helps minimize, emphasize and shape your facial features using shadows and highlights.
I am amazed with how smooth and pigmented all of the powders in this pallet are. My favorite shades out of all of these powders are the bottom left and the bottom right. Those two shades are the perfect shades to highlight and contour my face.
I first used this light ivory/yellow-ish toned powder and swept it all over my face and really focused on the tops of my cheek bones for a nice, fresh-faced highlight.
I next used this brown powder and blended it very well just under my cheek bones as I made a ‘kissy’ face. I then continued to blend it on the sides of my nose and temples of my head for even more shadowing. Don’t be intimidated by how dark the brown color is, because if its blended right, it looks very natural no matter what lighting you are in!
