Here is very rare sight… This is what I look like without any makeup on! I know, shocking.

Here is a tutorial on how to get a more natural makeup look on those days where you don’t feel like going all out. This is all the makeup I’m going to be using today.

Step 1: Apply Foundation

I first applied a small amount of a Smashbox primer to my freshly washed face before I started applying my foundation. Primer is totally optional, but I find it amazingly helpful if you want to cover up any pores. It also helps your foundation and makeup stay in place a lot longer which is a huge plus. Anyways, for my foundation I used Maybelline’s Fit Me Fountation in the shade Porcelain 110. I like this foundation because it gives you a super natural dewy finish. I first applied my foundation with a small foundation brush, then took a makeup sponge and blended it in using tiny circular/dabbing motions.

Step 2: Shape and Fill those Brows!

If you don’t have natural patchy, uneven brows like I do, you can definitely skip this step.  I used my Anastasia Brow Duo in Dark Brown to fill and shape my brows. I usually use the darker brown on my arches and then the lighter brown to fade out the edges of my brows creating a more natural look.

Step 3: Apply Eyeliner

I have no idea if I’m the only one who does this method of applying eyeliner, but I use EYESHADOW as eyeliner most of the time. I simply take a tiny, pointed brush, get it a little damp, then apply it to the base of my lashes. I used my absolute favorite eyeshadow pallet by Tarte that is called ‘Tartelette’. It has the most beautiful neutral colors that blend so smoothly. In this case, I just created a small winged cat eye using the shade ‘Multi-tasker’.

Step 4: Apply Concealer

To brighten my under eyes, I used Clinique Airbrush Concealer in the lightest shade. This concealer brightens, illuminates, and most importantly covers my dark circles. I swept it under my eyes and blended it very well with a sponge.

Step 5: Apply Setting Powder

With a large makeup brush, sweep a setting powder or powder foundation all over your face. This prevents your face from looking too oily. I used Bellapierre Mineral foundation in the shade Ivory to set my foundation and concealer in place.

Step 6: Contour (Optional)

I used the Simply Spoiled Perfecting Kit pallet and shaped my cheek bones by sweeping this brown color just under them. This gives your face the appearance of being slightly slimmer.

Step 7: Highlight

I then used a lighter ivory color on the same pallet to highlight my cheek bones

Step 8: Curl your Lashes

Gently curl your lashes for some major volume and length!

Step 9: Apply Mascara

I used my favorite drugstore mascara, Maybelline Lash Discovery. The wand is so tiny and so it’s so easy to get all those hard to reach places like the roots of your eyelashes.

Step 10: Apply Lip color

Apply your favorite shade of lip stick/gloss for a nice pop of color. I used NYX Jumbo Lip Pencil in the shade Pecan. This is probably my favorite lip color. I love how pigmented it is and how it looks with my skin tone.
